What to do on Super Bowl Sunday if you don’t watch the game? - Yep today is the day, Super Bowl Sunday and everyone is preparing for the big game (Super Bowl ratings last year were coming close to 100 million viewers) but if you just are not into the game you may be wishing it was a normal day. However don’t miss this opportunity and be happy that it is Super Bowl Sunday.
What to do on Super Bowl Sunday if you don’t watch the game?
Even if you despise football the Super Bowl can provide a lot of opportunities. This year it is kicking off around 5:25 CST and from that point the streets are going to be pretty quiet. That gives you a lot of opportunity for doing things without hassle on a Sunday evening so let’s give some of my favorite ideas for what I think you could be doing.
First off as it is going to be so quiet all the things that normally frustrate you because of crowds can be done. You can go to the movie theatre and see a blockbuster, you will likely be only one of a handful of people there! The gym will be completely empty and you can spend as long on the cardio machines as you like. Even an exclusive restaurant you have been wanting to try will likely have a reservation slot if you give them a call right now!
If you would prefer to stay at home then don’t fret. It is likely everyone else in your household is watching the game or going out so that means they won’t be bothering you. If they are all out (I suggest you try pushing them out to friends houses) then it means you have the TV all to yourself. Rent that movie no one else wanted to watch, catch up on your favorite show or play video games for the whole evening. Cook yourself your favorite meal, eat a whole tub of ice cream and gorge on your favorite treats. Make this night your own to do what you want to do.
Another thing you can do is work. It could be a great opportunity to go to a local bar that you know and ask if they need a bottle boy / girl for just one shift. Sure you will be in presence of the game but you will be working and earning great tips. If you work a job already that has a Sunday night shift then maybe you can do a swap with someone who wants to see the game and use the time to swap for one of your shifts at a more convenient time. I am sure most people would swap Superbowl Sunday for a random Friday or Saturday eve.

Your ideas for what to do on Super Bowl Sunday if you don’t watch the game?
So these are a couple of my ideas for what to do instead of the big day but there are a ton of other ideas and I would love to know what yours are? Do you have anything killer that you think should be done or do you know of any special non-football events that are taking place?
Thanks for reading and enjoy this evening no matter what you do.
Well, i plan to finiish up my taxes, online, and then bask in the joy of a nasty task done, on Monday morning. no matter who wins the game or how much it may have cost my compatriots…find pro football too thuggish, anyway. Will also see a movie my husband would cringe at—the king’s Speech. add something chocolate and I am good to go.
peace in our home…
Hey Nancy, I hope you got all this done and had a great eve.
