We Need To Read

booksI absolutely love movies and I try and watch as many as possible. I love books too but never seem to read as much as I wish I did. Much of it I put down to the distractions of the internet. Recently I have been thinking that I should force myself to sit down and get involved in a good book or two. Once I start reading there is often no stopping me!!

If you are a movie lover like me then you will be fully aware of services like NetFlix. Basically you make a big online list of movies and NetFlix send you a few movies off your list. When you return a movie a new one is sent out….. Well this service exists for books too and it is highly affordable.

BooksFree.com offers this service from $9.99 a month. This allows you to have two books at anyone time. They also have packages ranging up to 15 books at a time which could be great for your whole family!

They offer their members the latest best sellers and classics in both fiction and non-fiction. They currently have over 140,000 audio and paperback titles from over 36,000 authors. Plenty to read!

So basically they could save you a nice wad of cash and this could be a great gift for Christmas.

First I am going to start my new reading schedule…. and then if all goes well I may well consider this service.

What is the last book you read?

  2. Ha ha!! Sod making blogs mobile friendly…. make them print friendly

Maybe release a hardback annual of your blog at the end of each year.

  3. I love to read, too. Lately I’ve been reading books that were made into movies, and then watching the movies after. I’m currently readling Blindness, which is now a Jodie Foster movie. Most of the time I like the books better than the movies. I’ll have to check out the NetFlix-esque book site you reccommended; it sounds right up my alley!

  4. Hey Dina,

I like doing that too…. The Green MIle is one of the best movie adaptations in my mind as it sticks pretty well to the book for the most part.

  5. The last book I read was The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy. I love Tim Burton and I loved that book! Was the first I’d read for ages though (apart from psychology books at university lol). I’m thinking of reading Twilight next! :)

  6. Hey Hayley, Thanks for stopping by. I love Tim Burton too although he has been a little hit and miss lately!!

Oh by the way everyone… I would love it if you could click the big banner at the top of this blog and vote for my Christmas blog :)

  7. Read a book? It is has been a while. My mind is preoccupied with make money niche. Hopefully in the future, my mind would be occupied with read a book niche.

  8. Hey SmallBlogger,

I fully understand but I am slowly learning that finding time for other things gives you clarity when you come back to the important subjects…. such as MMO :)
