Top Ten Fashion Designers - Who are the top ten fashion designers in the world today depends on who you are talking to these days. Everyone has their own sense of fashion. It is not something that can be universally branded on a people, continent, or eve class of people. Everything depends.
Yet there are a select few fashion designers that have truly revolutionized the fashion world. Their style is so authentic that it can easily be picked out in a crowded room and is unmistakable. These are the people that we want to talk about today. Not the hit or miss fashion designers that are destined to fall back into obscurity. I am talking about the legends of the fashion world that are sure to be in everyone’s top ten list despite the fact that we like so many different styles.

These iconic fashionistas are trend setters. This list will not include the new age designers that are trying to make a name for themselves, but the ones that are able to have some longevity in the fashion world and others look to emulate where possible.

These 10 fashion designers are on the top list of everyone in the world. But the thing that bothers me about this is the fact that it is the same people over and over again that make this list. Most of these people have been on the top of the fashion world for well over twenty years. Makes you wonder what it takes for someone new to break into the heights of the fashion world? Or is it even possible?
Has fashion gotten so stern that it is shutting everyone else out? I sure hope not. As styles continue to change and the likes of the people change up a bit, it only goes to reason that some fresh blood would make it on this list. It is understandable that you can’t put out one line of clothing and then make this list. Obviously, it takes some longevity to even be consider seriously. Yet, there has to be some room for the future generations to get involved.
I want to share my list of things designers can do to perhaps break into this list in the future.
#1 Be Unique. - Stop reading and studying all the people on this list. If you expect to be here, you need to be a trend setter. If you just follow the people on this list, then people will always say that you are a follower. You will never make the list going that route. Turn off the fashion news, television, and Internet sites. You need to come out of left field with something fresh, new and exciting. It won’t happen by trying to upgrade something that others have already done.
#2 Be Consistent. – As you may have noticed, the people on this list have been in the fashion world for decades. They have been on top for decades. There is something to be said about longevity that is critical if you plan on topping the charts in this business. You cannot afford to put out a great line one year, then flop the next year. You have to be consistent.
#3 Be Ready. – These young designers never know when their time to shine will come. If the cameras show up or you have an opportunity to do something for a major star that is going to host an award show or be featured on the red carpet, step up. You have to perform when all the chips are on the table. Constantly prepare yourself for the success that you plan to achieve in the near future. Be ready for your opportunity when it appears.
I am confident over the next few years, there will be some fresh blood in the list of top fashion designers. If not, I will be surprised. But know I want to hear from you.
