Blogging, Interesting Blogs

For the second week of my look at other blogs I have decided to change the weekly post from a review to more of a profile, featuring review elements. This is mainly due to the fact that I for the moment I want to promote the bloggers that I like and that have helped me to cultivate and grow new life in this forest.

Buzz My Blog Logo

In a nutshell Buzz my Blog is new contender in the ever increasing Make Money Online niche.

The doors opened back on Dec 30, so it’s too early to tell how big of an impact it is going to make but it has its ethics grounded in a good place and is showing confidence in it’s convictions. Readership has been steadily increasing and a number of inventive, inspiring posts have kept people coming back.

“Don’t listen to them. Give it your best shot and try it anyway. Blog away. It is a fun and exciting experience that will teach you a lot about this exciting form of media. Yes…it is becoming a crowded niche. But that doesn’t mean that you still can’t have a successful blog. You just need to be realistic about your definition of success. You will not topple Shoemoney or earn more money that the ProBlogger. That is just not realistic. But if watching your subscriber count rise because people are taking an interest in something you enjoyed writing counts as a success, then by all means you should be doing it.”
Excerpt from the post Finding Your Place in a Crowded Blog Niche

I only discovered Buzz My Blog a few weeks ago after reading the guest post on JohnCow.com. I think I was one of the many readers lured in by this. It really was good timing to kick start this site.

Jeff Buzz makes it his business to be honest and respectable to his readers. In his first post he talks about his position, him being new to this niche but experienced with the web, and the necessity to share his make money journey with his readers. He seems determined to make it work for him and when he knows how he did it, determined to let the world know.

The layout of the site is pretty simple. A main header with a simple navbar underneath, a double side bar on the right and a good size for the posts. Everything is contained in it’s own little block so it’s pretty easy to buzz around.

At present they only advertising is Entrecard. You may be wondering why a Make Money Blog isn’t looking like it is making any money but I think Jeff has the right idea, as he has said that he wanted to get readers first and he will subtly add the advertising in the coming months.

I like this site a lot and with Graham Langdon, of Entrecard fame, even popping by a few times to give his twenty five cents it seems that other people are standing up and paying attention too.

Jeff comes across as open minded, experimental, responsive and clever enough to deliver the goods to us, the readers who also want to make money.

Now if I had to say anything bad about this site I would only say that he is in a crowded niche, and gladly he recognizes that. He is going to have to work hard to keep his content not necessarily original but at least interesting and produced from an original angle. There has been countless times, even with people I read on a regular basis, where I have seen another post about where best to place Adsense and such things and I have just skipped past it. The titles need to grab me (check out the latest post, at time of writing. That worked!) and the content has to have personality which at present it has plenty.

Buzz My Blog, like all of us, is on the look out for new subscribers. To help achieve this a weekly competition which allows you to win 500 Entrecard points is in progress. So visit The Weekly Buzz, sign up for the comp and join the RSS feed).
