Simple Tips to Make Spring Cleaning Easier

Simple Tips to Make Spring Cleaning Easier: Ways to jump start spring cleaning – It’s still cold outside, spring isn’t even starting to wake but you should get a jump start of any spring cleaning you can to make the jobs easier when Spring does come flying in. When the sun finally starts filling our homes again and the flowers wake up the last thing we want to do is spend days and days cleaning but we do every year none the less. For many of us summer and spring doesn’t last that long so we should make the best of it.

Simple Tips to Make Spring Cleaning Easier: Jump start spring cleaning tips

It’s cold and miserable and I am sure hiding behind a blanket with a hot chocolate and a book is the most appealing thing right now but if you use this time to get a head on tasks you will really appreciate it later on. Here are some of my tips to do just that.

Like I start any tasks I find it best to first sit down with a mug of coffee or tea (good so far) a pen, paper and your partner. Sit down and list all the tasks you do every spring cleaning, make a mega list. This will come useful come spring too so try and think of every little thing from changing air-con filters to brushing dust out of the garage to cutting back branches on that bloody tree! I advise you type this list up so you can keep it so of course you could start with the laptop straight away but there is something I like about writing on paper (yes, yes I know it’s wasteful!).

Once you have the definitive spring cleaning list you can start organising things. I’m sure well over half of the tasks are done inside the home. Inside you have heating and are protected from the outside so winter, spring, summer, autumn these tasks can be carried out any time. Bring these tasks forward and do them all within the next 4 weeks. Break them down to one or two an evening for a few weeks and you will be done in no time at all.

Tasks that are outdoors may be silly to start but things like a quick sweep of the garage or a very quick grass cut (if you snow has melted) could help you save time when the weather is in shape to actually get these things done.

My logic is as simple as do what you can early but hey life is as simple as you make it.

Throughout the year I also think you should look at the tasks that could be done at different times and maybe done 3-4 times as year as opposed to once. Even if doing it 4 times a year may take longer overall each time will be shorter so it may feel shorter, like cutting back the trees, dusting the garage, cleaning the gutters and other tasks such as polishing brass and pulling out the chest freezer to clean behind it.

Okay so.. i was reading this website article on spring cleaning and i liked some of the various tips that were given. Some of them were very useful in my annual cleaning rituals! I did, however, notice that you were lacking a few crucial and important techniques to truly clean ones household. 1) Always use a toothbrush, when scrubbing the toilet, to insure proper crack cleansing. 2) Make sure you flush the toilet before cleaning it, due to occasional fecal residue which may lead to smearing of fecal matter around toilet bowl, which leads to more cleaning..If you know what i mean *wink* *wink* ;) 3) Always wear protection when cleaning certain parts of ones personal… bathroom. You might want to do this because, poisonous fumes may leak into your lungs and then cause most certain death. 4) Turn off fans before cleaning them. Failure to do so, may lead to severe injury and/or death. There have been many cases of ceiling fan related deaths in several 3rd world countries.
That is all i have to say on this subject. The article was very good. Thank you for the good read and helpful tips. I hope this comment will be uselful to other housemaids such as myself.

Those are very good techniques Mr. Magaley!!!! Thank you so much as i am recovering from several work related injuries. I wish you would have commented yesterday as i obviously didn’t think about rule 4. i was cleaning a stainless steel fan in an industrial factory, and i forgot to have the fan system shut off.. needless to say, i have 1 arm left. I am very hopeful that other housemaids such as ourselves will read this article before they too make the same life changing mistakes that i did.

Hey Mr. Jakweeffsee Richard Magaley, Mr. Robinette O’Neal, thanks very much for the tips. I am not sure why you had to comment to congratulate yourself on great tips under a false name though (you set your email address as the same and I can see the comments came from the same computer) but thanks all the same.

One of the easiest and fastest methods I have researched and can honestly recommend when it comes to cleaning out the rain gutters is to use a tool designed especially for just that purpose.
A gutter cleaning tool that the user can handle easily due to is lightweight yet durable makeup of pvc with no lead content. Another great reason for using for health reasons along. It also allows the user to clean high second story gutters as well as single story without the need for a ladder which could increase the possibility of a fall and serious injuries.
Allivating the need for ladder useage leaves only methods such as water wands or leaf blowers or robots to clean the gutters which always leave an extra mess that must be cleaned up after the gutters have been cleaned out. Using a tool especially designed for use without a ladder and one that actually vacuums out all debris, wet or dry, without breathing in contaminants that linger in most gutters, including virus, mold, mildew, mosquito larva, roaches (that carry over 33 contagious diseases, allergens and other dangerous contagions, is a much healthy method of gutter cleaning.
After over 30 years of gutter cleaning, lots of research and reviews of the various gutter cleaning tools on the market I highly recommend the Gutter Clutter Buster Kit for doing this chore. Designed and manufactured here in the USA, Patented, and sold solely by the inventors themselves who also give back to their community is a great way to continue to support small American business and own a American made tool.
You can check this product out on the respective site at http://www.GutterClutterBuster.com and you can decide if this affordable tool could make your spring clean-up a lot faster, easier, cleaner, and most of all safer.

Thanks Ivan, I am sure those tools can work pretty well. A wire snake and a pair of hands doesn’t do too bad either!
