Kate And Yes I Hope To
William and Kate are having a good reception in general on their Canadian tour and on a walk about in Quebec the words “Yes I Hope To” were uttered to a man who wished Kate luck in starting a family. It’s of course a tiny little remark but the first time the Duchess has talked in public about the possibilities of making little Royals!
Ok, to contextualise the story a little. William and Kate were in Quebec City the attending a City Hall ceremony honouring the Canada’s Royal 22nd Regiment.
A two year old named Raffaela, the daughter of British expat David Cheater, handed Kate a bouquet of flowers. David gave Kate well wishes in regard to starting a family with William and she replied with the words “Yes, I hope to.”
William mentioned before their engagement that the pair were wanting to have children at some point and I am sure the Royal Family as a unit would be keen for more positive things such as Will, Kate kids to help boost the wave of pro-royal sentiment that has been grown since the wedding euphoria spread across the world.
Personally I am not a Royalist but don’t wish the couple any ill will. I take the idea that they are mostly harmless and probably do earn more than they cost in UK terms. However I think the best gesture to the world as it is would be for the pair to adopt. Adopting a child could provide awareness for adoption, save a child from a life in an orphanage and bring in a completely fresh blood line to the Royal family which would be historic. Just an idea!
