June 2012 meat recalls – You have to take care of your meat, cook it right, keep it cool etc etc, but all of that is useless if there is an issue with it when you pick it up off the shelf! A lot of meat gets recalled each month and June 2012 is of course no exception.
June 2012 meat recalls
Meat like other food recalls is of course subject to things like contamination and mislabelled ingredients, things that have of course sparked some of the various recalls this month. Lets take a look at what you need to take back to your store!
Trader Joe’s chicken recall – Antonelli’s and Sons have had to issue a recall on over 3500 lbs of their Cranberry Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast due to undeclared ingredients of milk, soy and MSG. It affects products numbered P-22018.
BaLe pork recall – Affecting around 13,200 lsb for products with EST. 18442. The recall is due to, undeclared allergen, wheat.

Keoki’s Kalua recall – Around 400 lbs of prok products have been recalled due to possible listeria monocytogenes contamination. This affects products sold in Hawaii.
Safeway Select lasagna recall – Due to undeclared egg and soy 96,408 lbs of Safeway Select lasagna are being recalled!
Shaomai pork dumplings recall – Affecting EST. 39932 products that were sold to restaurants and hotels in California and Nevada. 60,000 lbs are being recalled due to undeclared MSG.
Crown Prince Oysters recalled – Due to the FDA Constituent Update about shellfish in Korea four kinds of South Korean Crown Prince Oysters are being recalled.
Hopefully none of these recalls affected you and hopefully you didn’t eat any bad meat! If you did make sure it hasn’t adversely affected your health and make sure you take any remaining meat back asap.
