Finally I am at a point with this site whereby I am happy to promote myself and try and gain new subscribers and visitors.
So there is nothing better to start the ball rolling than a Meme. Good thing too is the content changes in this Meme so it should have Google love.
Lynne over at Sewingmom.com tagged me and I am thankful that she is trying to help me get a few more bodies over here.
Basically I have to answer 4 questions on 4 topics and then pass it along to 4 others. Easy peasy, so here goes:
- 4 Jobs I’ve Had in My Life
- One of my first jobs was working for my Nan in a small snack bar. I was about 15 and the snack bar was inside a working mans club. Basically I served greasy food to old decrepit men and chocolate bars to little kids.
- I worked for many years as a Design Manager in London. Our main client was HMV and I would deal with the windows displays for the central London flagship stores. After bookings were received I would deal with the entire process, from contacting the client, to designing the display and arranging it’s production. It was a stressful job but gave me some proud moments.
- After arriving in Montreal and needing a break from Graphic Design I decided I would hit the bars! Not for drinking (well not all the time) but for work. I ended up working for Hurley’s Irish Pub and have just recently finished. I worked in the kitchen mainly as a cold and prep cook. I was just starting to work on the line but decided it was time to leave.
- By far my most bizarre job is this…. Blogging. A moment of madness and euphoria recently made me give up my job and decide that writing and developing blogs and web projects was my future. It’s been one week and I am still happy about the decision even though my earnings are lower than any other job in my life. It’s quite flexible but very demanding all at once.
- 4 Shows I DVR (TIVO)
I don’t have a DVD recorder or watch much TV so here are 4 shows I watch here and there.
- Lost (just starting on first season!)
- Red Dwarf
- Father Ted
- The Blue Planet
- 4 Places I’ve Been
- Vermont, USA. Luckily I got the chance to spend 7 weeks of my summer ’07 living close to Burlington. This state is beautiful and the people are very friendly. I miss it at times.
- Copenhagen, Denmark. I loved this city. Totally amazing vibe and very healthy looking locals. I was here for NY2001 (I think!) and although expensive I would recommend it to anyone.
- Dune Du Pyla, France – On a road trip down the west coast of France in search of a town called Condom we stumbled across this place. It’s the biggest sand dune in Europe and believe me it is well worth the walk. People were snowboarding down it but I decided to tumble head first
. At night everyone gathered around fires and people drank, sang and played. It’s magical. - Montreal, Quebec, Canada – It’s my utter pleasure to be living in this city right now. I don’t think I will be able to stay here much beyond August and may have to leave earlier (Visa issues!) but I love the culture and architecture. The bars are great and the anglo-franco debate puts a strange slant and sometimes test of my views on most things.
4 Favorite Foods
- Baby Corn. There is no other vegetable worthy of taking the crown.
- Curry. I love all sorts of curry, mild to hot, saucy to dry. And especially with Baby Corn, Mmmmmmmmmm.
- Peanut Butter. The food of Love, Life and Everything. I wish I could convince my partner of that! She thinks it’s just OK which highly offends me
- Bread. Sadly I love it. I have to monitor my intake as I will get hugely obese if I don’t but still sometimes a guy needs to gorge!
- 4 People I Tag
- Firstly Zath. He has been very helpful to me and I love his blog. Would be cool to find out the answers to these questions.
- Secondly Linda F over at Ugly Mailboxes. This site is my daily relief from everything else. Some of the boxes she has dug up are unbelievable.
- Then Buzz My Blog because they are new to me and I have been inspired but I am not sure if they do Memes!
- And finally….. Christine Senter. I got introduced to her through Garry Conn and I love her writing and would love to see her slants on these questions.
As with all Memes, If you want to participate but I have not tagged you then please just link this post and off you go and if you have been linked by me but don’t want to play then no hard feelings
.

My husband is a peanut butter fan too. I just tell him to go for it. He gains weight too if he eats too much. I swear he could eat a whole jar in one sitting. Just give him a spoon. My weakness is pasta. I so love it, but have it very rarely. When we get older we just can’t eat like we used to when we were younger. Very well done and a great way to get to know things about someone. Have a great day.
First of all, thanks for doing the meme! Secondly, I enjoyed reading about you and learning these fun facts. I had no idea that France was where one would find the largest sand dune in Europe! How exactly did you go down head first?
Finally, I’m a huge fan of breads too. Funny thing is, whenever I cut down on my in take of bread, I lose weight!
Thanks Sandee, I saw Dawn over at Twisted Sister wrote about Freenut better. I really want to try it.
Lynne, it’s very steep. I just kinda jumped and rolled down the hill. A friend had it on video. I should try and get it and put it up on You Tube!
