I was going to keep my political views all quiet until after tomorrow but I cannot contain myself anymore.
I genuinely 110% HATE Sarah Palin. If the Republicans get in and McCain pops his clogs or gets seriously ill in the next two years this thing will be running the good old US of “F**king” A!!!!!!!!
We could all be doomed.
Matt Damon says it in the best way possible:
Sarah Palin is going to destroy many of the advancements made by the modern woman. She once claimed to be a feminist but has recently retracted that statement. I cannot see how any modern American woman can relate to this lady and her beliefs. Check out this Flip Flop! (I found this on Menstrual Poetry, thanks
)
This has been making me so angry in recent days…. However there has been some relief and it comes in the form of the mighty TTT, Terrible Terry Tate….. Watch and laugh your ass off
I am going to go and hole up in a bunker and come out after the results are out. I am lucky I am English so can’t vote, although I am in Vermont, USA right now.
GO OBAMA! What do you think? I would love to know your opinion for or against what I am saying.
I’ll leave you with this……

I ♥ Sarah. I feel the same way about Obama that your feel about Sarah. You asked.

Oh, and who cares what a rich actor has to say? I don’t.

Hey Sandee, Thanks so much for being the first to comment…. This is exactly what I was looking for
…. Don’t want to lose any readers but do want to create some debate.
Personally I love the fact that Obama is advocating for change…. 8 years ago the country was in surplus and pretty well respected around the world….. frat boy bush came to power and has undone all of that. McCain in my opinion is just going to carry this on.
McCain in my eyes is just not cut out to run the country. She makes BIG mistakes with her answers and avoids ansering very simple questions… and does not know anything about foreign policy which is a big big issue right now. It’s great that she is homely and folky but that is not what a leader needs…. I don’t want to peak bad of an old man but that is exactly what mccain is. I am suprised he wanted to run.

Palin is terrorist Obama is not lol
3. November 2008 at 2:52 pm
I don’t personally think that she is a terrorist or has any wish to do anything like that…. I do think the republicans have been encouraging views of obama being a terrorist and this in my eyes is very immoral…
….As for him being Muslim SO WHAT!!! I grew up in an area with many religions and no one religion makes anyone less or more likely to be a bad or unintelligent person!

Honestly, it doesn’t matter whether you “like” Sarah Palin or not, she is clearly the least qualified person to ever come this close to the White House. She is undereducated and holds views that I consider radical and extreme.
Though one could endlessly debate the “hands-on” experience of either Palin or Obama, particularly in terms of economic and foreign affairs, what Obama may lack in practical experience, he more than makes up for in sheer depth of knowledge. He clearly has a brilliant mind and has conducted his campaign in a nearly flawless manner. In contrast, Palin has displayed a serious lack of knowledge in nearly every facet of national government, and has often displayed poor judgment on the campaign trail.
And make no mistake – as far as I’m concerned, this is a race between Palin and Obama. George Bush aged 20 years in the past 8 that he’s been in office, as did Clinton before him. I really don’t believe McCain’s health can weather the stresses of the presidency, especially in such volatile times as we have now.
I would close with this thought- If you were sick and needed a kidney transplant, and you could only choose between two doctors, who would you rather have operating on you – someone who barely managed a bachelors degree after attending four different community colleges, or someone who graduated at the top of his class from Harvard and went on to teach at the highest academic level?
Of course you would choose the latter. So why are so many people eager to hand over the keys to the most important job in the world, to a person who wouldn’t even quality for a $40,000/year job as an academic advisor at the community college she graduated from? This is insanity!
This country needs and deserves the best possible minds if we are to have any hope of solving the morass of problems facing us today. Palin is an intellectual lightweight whose extreme right-wing “leadership” would put this country in serious jeopardy and make Bush’s term seem like a picnic.

I think it’s a GRAVE mistake to get political on a site that sells a product or service. Poor judgment if you ask me, especially for being so anti-informational.

In response to Comedy Plus,
Don’t trust what a “rich actor” has to say?
Fine, then watch the video and pretend I’M the one talking – “Dave the Office Worker” from Republican “red state” Indiana – because what Matt Damon says in that video reflects EXACTLY what myself and many others are thinking.
When John McCain ran against Bush the first time around, I was excited and fully prepared to vote for him – but I WILL NOT cast a vote that would have any chance of letting Palin step within a mile of the White House!
Independent in Indiana and Voting for OBAMA

Woo hoo…. Dave I am with you on EVERy point you have made….. I just wish I could vote!!

Forest,
I just wish everyone in this country could see our political process through the eyes of someone not native to the US. Maybe then they would understand the incredible privilege we have and take it seriously enough to really research the candidates – and I don’t mean just watch the debates or visit their websites (although that’s a good start.)
When you see a negative ad about a candidate, don’t just take the claim at face value – LOOK IT UP! Quite honestly, the Republicans count on their constituents being less educated and thus less informed. That is their base. Don’t believe me? LOOK IT UP!
McCain/Palin polls highest among people with no secondary education beyond high school. And those are the very people who are hurt most by Republican policies that favor big business and trickle-down economics.
It is so frustrating – I hope today brings the real change we need. If not, I may be joining you in the UK for awhile.

I have experienced this very much in the many debates I have been having over the last few days…. I have heard stuf such as “YOU WOULD VOTE A BLACK MAN!” My answer is, I would vote whoever is best for the job no look at creed, color or race….. sadly I can’t vote

Who Knows…. Sorry I never saw your comment before.
I agree this could be harmful but this is my personal space and I feel it’s fine to have a voice that is political or religious or whatever I want it to be.
This site makes me a tiny amount of money but it’s not my business blog as such and I don’t cocentrate too much on finding readers and such.
The post was lacking in information but I am not the news
Just a blogger who was angered by what he was seeing happening…. Anyhows I am happy now
I hope my political view will not stop you coming back

Did your system for sending out posts get clogged or something. Maybe Joe the Plumber can help.
} This post was made quite some time ago, but it just made it to my inbox.
Anyway, the Big O won so you must be happy. Of course much of the current financial mess was not caused by Republicans, but oh well.
Four years from now Obama will face a fate similar to Jimmy Carter’s. And for a guy that claims to want change why is most of his current staff picks old time democrats. That doesn’t sound much like change.
I’ll do my best to not hold this post against you.
}
I will say as a Republican, I did like Sarah. She was a real person, not someone that is too far removed from how real people live.
I will also say, I’m completely amiss about all of the bail-outs and true Republicans would have just said No.

Hey CD Rates,
Thanks for stopping by!! I still don’t know what happened with my autoresponder, I think it was something to do with me changing my permalinks!!
As for Big O winning. I am very pleased! The source of this issue can be argued and argued but I think us normal folks will never know the whole story. Repuplicans and Democrats on our level are just people at the end of the day. I feel like Obama realizes that it is important to be bipartisan on as many subjects as he can…. let’s hope this happens.
I actually liked McCain for the most part. I felt his choice in Sarah was ridiculous and was going to push back woman’s rights not bring them forward!! However if Obama chooses McCain for a position I would be more than happy for McCain to accept, I think he has a lot to bring to the USA.
For me I would love to see McCain, Obama and Hilary all working together in some way. The country needs to overcome these hard times and teamwork is definitely a good way for this to happen.
