Sadly, it’s not quite as hilarious as I first read it. I imagined the ex-pres spray painting poodles to look like Ninja Turtles and painting moustaches on jack russels.
No, it’s a reference to his current hobby of painting pictures, partly portraits of dogs and Texas landscapes, much like a lot of retired guys do.
George W Bush’s legacy isn’t exactly clearing up and being re-represented so stories about the President that did so much wrong are not often favorable. Dubya has kept quite a low profile since leaving office and his legacy has really put a spanner in the works for brother Jeb whom many believe would be a viable Republican candidate were it not for a certain family member.

Bush is also said to be playing golf to keep fit and going out to restaurants, the quiet life it seems! Having the patience to sit for hours and paint dogs doesn’t seem inline with his personality though according to some people. Of course, people change and there is no reason why he couldn’t.
