Fastest-growing states – Although some states are changing slightly in actual landmass due to geographical reasons the title of this post is referring to population growth which generally occurs when tides of people shift due to changing industries and such things. The USA is changing fast and the sands are shifting!

So what states are growing the fastest?

North Dakota – 2.2
District of Columbia – 2.1
Texas – 1.7
Wyoming – 1.6
Utah – 1.5
Nevada – 1.4
Colorado – 1.4
Arizona – 1.3
Florida – 1.2
South Dakota – 1.2
North Dakota has a booming oil industry and only around 3% unemployment so it’s no surprise it’s toping the list but places like Nevada where things are not so good are a bit of a shock. Of course the shifts and trends have a lot of reasons and it’s not always simply how rich people are or how many jobs there are.
