Finally the day has come. I am now embarking on the hazardous and long and, did I mention, very brave journey of being a freelance blogger and online-tropeneur.
The battle between me and the evil hangover army has been raging all day and I think I have finally managed to subdue their forces and stop any further attempts at attack. So I have found the time to start my now regular posting.
After finishing my last shift at Hurley’s Irish Pub I managed to force at least half my body weight worth of Guinness into my poor little body and had a great night of shenanigans. I think alcohol will be off the list of activities for the next week or so!
Obviously, I now have a hell of a lot of work ahead of me and I hope to try and be efficient using this week to get things sorted out and organized so that clear objectives can be laid out for each day. I’ll also make sure that I let all you guys know exactly what is going on and if possible try and get some help and opinions.
Organization:
As you can see from the image below, my poor desktop has been neglected. I just couldn’t think straight with all these files so things had to change.

I moved and deleted and organized and now all the files are sitting neatly filled, just where they should be. Hopefully I can keep things like this and keep my head just as clean and clear.

Nice isn’t it?
There are lots of other things to sort and clean but these can be done one stage at a time and be filler jobs whilst I am brain storming for posts and projects.
Home improvements:

It has been an issue for a while that my home here has been neglected. Lots of small and maybe some big things will change over the next few weeks, but my first issue is with the visual elements. I redesigned the header and played around with the template a little. I really want to know what you think and what I can do to further improve things.
I have big plans for this site. I hope I will be able to use this place as the hub of my networking so my online friends can keep track and learn about my new projects and give honest advice to hopefully stop me from making too many mistakes.
For day II I will be taking a look at my assets.
See you tomorrow.

I think you’re off to a very good start and your desktop looks very orderly! I wish you all the best as you start down this new path.

I like the design and your forest banner, very spooky but cool. Your sidebar is a little hard on my eyes. Maybe change the font size to something larger or change the heading color. The grey on the grey blue just isn’t enough of a contrast I don’t think.
Overall though it’s very clean and serene, I like it.

Thanks Linda, I am still trying to wok out the colours that will work best and may be looking at the fonts and sizing.
I guess the spookyness does not reflect in my sites content but it’s my blog and I want it that way
so it’s going to stick here for now.
Thanks very very much for the encouraging comments, I’ll be over visit you again very soon.
