Coyote delays jets – Airport jets experienced brief delays as a coyote wanders onto a runway. This caused a slight hold up in the flight schedules, but everything worked out in a reasonable time frame.
The scene was Atlanta, Georgia, the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, one of the business airports in the world. Thousands of travelers move through this airport. Atlanta is in a central location and is a major hub to the western part of the country.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, authorities say a coyote wandered onto this busy airport at about 3:30 pm Tuesday afternoon. The coyote was on the south side of the airport. A few planes had to be delayed as a result.
Authorities used a vehicle to chase the animal off the runways, out of the airport and into a ravine. It took about five minutes to clear the animal off the airport grounds at a safe distance. Once that was completed, flights resumed.
It is unclear if passengers even noticed the five minute delay. A trip to the airport requires you to get there hours early for your flight, drag yourself through the long, intensive screening process, only to wait yet again for your flight and to board the plan.
Seriously doubt they noticed the five minute delay, but was glad to move forward with their travels.
That is the story behind coyote delays jets.
