I’ve been a casual reader of TRF for at least a year now and am compelled to comment on/request something:
As stifling to the creative juices as some may feel this may be, does anyone else notice the strain of illiteracy present in these articles?
Please , people, I don’t consider myself anywhere near a Pulitzer Prize-quality writer; nor do I fancy myself an old-fashioned grammerian, or even just a plain snob, but……..
Doesn’t anyone else’s skin begin to crawl when trying to read some of these articles? I stutter and stumble over poorly-written pieces; I lose concentration when I see an author’s inability to properly place punctuation. I’ve seen some pretty novel places to stick commas in a sentence, to cite just one example.
I deal with this on a daily basis at my workplace. I can’t understand why I should have to do the same when reading recreationally.
Please, please, please help me on this. Somebody in your group should be proofing these posts. I don’t mean to the point of rejecting or changing the meaning of a poorly-written article. I don’t mean going to the point of obsessiveness on correcting the most trivial of errors; just get an article to the point of reasonable readability.
I do enjoy the many articles that are decently authored. I do hope you continue with TRF; would it be possible to just give a little “help” to the articles weak on writing skills? There are some good thoughts out there that are being lost, at least by people like me. Am I the only one????? I hope not!
We really appreciate the honest feedback and we are still relatively new at putting the news out daily with our lifestyle articles and everything else in the mix. Admittedly sometimes our small team hasn’t been too hot on things like grammar or even sense in some rushed time sensitive articles but I am going to be working hard on making sure that everyone (myself included) improves in these areas.
Dear TRF,
I love the nature of your articles! I always find something that tickles me pink! I would happily do some proof reading for you, it really would be my pleasure! I appreciate that there is a fine line between having worthy articles sat on your desk or actually just putting them out there in the public domainat the earliest opportunity to entertain your followers………………….If I can help with this please do not hesitate to contact me!
That is hilarious – I just wrote a comment saying the same thing as Jeffrey (of course not as eloquently) and when I submitted my comment I saw his below.
Please Forest – let us know if you need help I am more than happy to have a proof read while I am at work

Thank you everyone, we really are working to edit our articles better whilst still delivering stories often throughout the day.
I really appreciate the feedback.
