Best Cities For Retirees

Best Cities For Retirees – When it comes to finding the best cities for retirees, you have to take a lot of things into considering. This is the main reason that any list you read will not be complete, nor will it satisfy everyone. This is because each person is looking for something a bit different. And that special something may be in one city over the next.

This is the big problem with these list of the best cities. They can’t satisfy everyone. It’s all good because as long s you know what you are looking for, you can find what you need. That is an individual decision that each person needs to make.

Best Cities For Retirees

In writing this article, it got me to thinking about the top amenities or things that you might be looking for when you retire. Retirees are not going somewhere to die, they are going somewhere to live. And living it up is all they are interested in doing.

#1 Safe & Secure – There is no way you are going to move to a place if you think you have to constantly look over your shoulder. This isn’t going to happen. And on the best cities list for folks getting into retirement, this is a high priority.

#2 Excellent Medical Attention – From time to time, you may require medical attention, so you want to ensure their responsive, intelligent, and competent medical people in the area. You may need your updates or even emergency attention. You can’t be around a bunch of people that don’t know what they are doing.

#3 Sun & Fun – I live in the Midwest and can’t think of someone trying to retire in this cold weather we are having. The day I write this article it is 3 below zero outside. If you don’t know, that is cold. Therefore, the retirees city would have to have ample sunlight and activities that can be done. We are talking about golf, bowling, tennis, swimming, walking, hiking, the works. We want it all.

#4 Friendly People - Who wants to move to a retirement town and find out that everyone in the neighborhood or at the facility is unpleasant. This would be a shocker and unacceptable. Think about it. You have worked your entire life with unpleasant people and doing it in retirement is something that most seniors are not trying to sacrifice.
