2012 July product recalls – It’s that time of the month again where we look at the 2012 recalls for July products and other areas. Recalls are a sad part of consumerism we have to deal with and luckily mostly a minor issue.
2012 July product recalls
Like every month this month of July has seen a pretty standard set of recalls but some interesting things too. These include a peppermint ice cream recall, frozen meatballs recalled and some soy candles recalled.
It’s important to keep on top of them to make sure that you don’t have anything harmful inside your home and that the companies face the full responsibility for what is often their mistake or sometimes purposeful attempt to slip sub quality items onto the shelves (this could be a cynical assumption!).
Here are the product recall sections this month (post links will be updated as published).

So what happens if you do have something on any of these lists? Well hopefully you have not suffered from the issue that sparked the recall so you should be able to either contact the retailer or the company direct and get a replacement, repair or your money back. It should be a no argument simple issue and hopefully you’ll be issued any apology too.
If you don’t heed a recall then you could end up injured, seriously ill and in some cases with a fatality on your hands, nothing to be scoffed at and something to take serious.
I don’t think that means you should get worried about anything, just keep an eye on the lists and any warnings that come your way. Generally the very serious recalls make national news.
Have you been affected by any of the product recalls that have happened this month or in recent months? And if so how was it getting your replacement, repair or money back?
