Frozen Pizza Over Delivery Pizza….

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Tony’s Pizza. All opinions are 100% mine.

Pizza is a wonder food! It fills you up, tastes amazing and is easy to obtain. It has all my favorite things…. bread, cheese and vegetables :) .

I love getting my pizza delivered but let’s face it, it’s not something that should be done too often as it can really begin to break the bank. Making pizza at home is another option, and the cheapest one, but the benefit is offset by time which you may not have!…. So the third and best compromising option is to cook pizza from frozen. Frozen pizza has really come a long long way since I was a kid. It used to taste awful but some of the recent offerings I have had are phenomenal!

Here are some benefits of eating frozen pizza over delivery pizza:

  • Frozen Pizza is usually much cheaper
  • It can be opened, unwrapped and cooked ready to heat in less than 20 minutes as opposed to a possible 40mins-1hr for delivery!
  • Frozen pizza cooked at home will always be steaming hot when it arrives on your table!
  • In many cases it is a little healthier, delivery pizza is often swimming in oil!
  • You can keep stocked up for those evenings when pizza is needed!

Pizza works best for a crowd, I think. I have always enjoyed pizza for sports nights, poker nights, small gatherings and anything that requires some easy to eat food that is generally universally liked. Tony’s Pizza has a great range of Frozen Pizza available that could be perfect for these kind of nights or just a quick needed snack!

One other thing that makes it worth giving Tony’s a try right now is the FREE BOWLING offer they have on. I love bowling but am not much good at it :) .

Have you tried Tony’s Pizza? I would love to know what you think and what your best pizza is :) .

Why I slow cook my food :)

As many of you know one of my main online endeavors is my Frugal Living blog. One of the reasons I spend so much time working on this website is because I am a frugal person who is interested in saving cash and living healthily. For this reason I try and do a lot of home cooking.

Home cooking can get a little annoying if not planned and executed properly and I have found some of my favourite meals are the ones that are cooked slowly in larger batches. These include stews, curries, soups, chilis, casseroles and more. The variety of recipes based on the same idea is endless and very suitable for my vegetarianism too….

Last night I cooked a chickpea and potato curry. It basically entailed boiling some chickpeas and adding ginger, garlic, curry powder, salt, pepper and a little flour. Then simmering for an hour or so and adding a pre-boiled potato and half a lemon. Simple and enough to feed a few people for a few meals.

At some point in the future I would like to invest in some kind of slow cooking crock pot (like the Tramontina Dutch Oven) and maybe even a pressure cooker to speed up cooking died foods like beans.

What do you slow cook and what tips can you recommend?

Back to Basics Apple Peeler

I’m in Egypt right now and sadly it’s not advised to eat any vegetable or fruit skins. So when eating apple’s I peel them. If you peel an apple with a knife then you often loose a lot of the fruit so it’s not a bad idea to get a hold of a special apple peeler. One such peeler is the Back To Basics Apple Peeler.

This awesome device attaches to a table top and makes peeling apples (and potatoes a sunc). It has a sturdy metal build and is not likely to break too easily.

It also slices the potatoes or apples too for an excellent way to eat and present. At under $25 this item is quite a steal.

It includes a 5 year warranty and of the 160 Amazon reviews it has gained an overall rating of 4.5 stars.

Check it out on Amazon.

Wahl Groomsman Beard Trimmer

I like to have a beard but I also like to keep it trimmed and up until recently I was using the Wahl Groomsman Beard Trimmer. It was perfect, took around 5-20mins to shave my beard back to the goatee style that I like and never caused me any problems at all.

Somewhere between the UK and Egypt (Where I am now) my Wahl Groomsman Beard Trimmer died. I imagine the bags at the hands of the ruthless staff were flung around a bit too bit and broke something inside. No fault of the trimmer, they are not made to be recklessly thrown around!

Sadly I can’t find a Wahl in Cairo. However as soon as I return to the UK or USA (which is going to be quite a while) I will be purchasing a new Wahl beard trimmer.

They can be found on Amazon for a great price.

Callaway VFT Irons

It took me a long while to realize why clubs like the Callaway VFT Irons were important for playing a good round of golf.

My appreciation of Golf and decent Gold equipment started at a late age. I started working in a gold club at the age of 16 and used to spend hours just whacking balls into the driving range field with the biggest baddest woods that people would lend to me…. Then I tried to play 18 holes and started to realize the important intricate elements of the game!

The Callaway VFT Irons are a little different to their X cousins. They look amazing and gladly that’s not all that is amazing about them.

Built with the solid and high quality construction that you expect from Callaway they have nice weighted heads that many users report gives an awesome swing and click on hitting the ball. The pure comfort is enough to give you a few extra yards and do wonders for your game.

Now Calloway obviously put a lot of time and effort into these clubs. Hours of design and prototype design and testing is reflected in the price tag. So if you have the cash they may be worth investing in. However don’t dispair….. Gold equipment can be had a huge discounts so no matter what your budget you can probably find these clubs at a good honest price on Amazon.

So check out the latest Amazon Callaway VFT Iron deals below:
